Composting & Yard Waste

WLSSD operates a yard waste site where residents can bring their yard trimmings, leaves, and brush for composting. The Materials Recovery Center accepts brush, only. It is illegal in the State of Minnesota to place these items in a landfill. Some Duluth area garbage haulers offer curbside collection of leaves and grass.
