If you are a new resident or business in the WLSSD looking to set up curbside trash hauling services, check out the “Licensed Waste Haulers” below. Garbage and recycling collection services within the WLSSD service area are governed by the WLSSD Solid Waste Ordinance. No person may collect or transport solid waste (including recyclable materials) without first being granted a license to do so. Each year, licensed haulers complete an annual report. Licenses are good for two years and renew the spring of each even year. Commercial self-hauler licenses are required for businesses that transport waste they themselves generate. These licenses allow for issuance of a scale card to be used at the WLSSD organic and yard waste facility.
