Currently Advertised Requests for Bids and Proposals
Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Quotations (RFQs) or public bidding opportunities are frequently posted by WLSSD. These opportunities are published in the legal advertising section placed in the local legal newspaper, the Duluth News Tribune at least 14 days prior to the last day for submission of bids.

Purchases over $50,000 (State Law and Board Policy)
If the estimated amount of a contract will exceed $100,000, sealed bids shall be solicited by public notice according to the following procedure.
Purchases in excess of $100,000 must be formally bid. A legal advertisement shall be placed in a legal newspaper (typically the Duluth News Tribune) and in appropriate trade journals at least 14 days prior to the last day for submission of bids.
