Other peoples’ cast-offs may be your treasure…FREE for the taking! Reusable items like furniture, housewares, bikes and more are available at the Reuse Area at the WLSSD Materials Recovery Center (MRC). Rehab the basement, den, build a screen house or a fish-cleaning station—the ideas are endless and items change daily! Shop each day the MRC is open.
Residents age 18 or older may shop each day the MRC is open and take 2 items per day for free for personal use. Simply select your items and complete the form as you exit and drop it in the marked mailbox. Some simple MRC Reuse Area Rules apply.
Unwanted paints, household cleaners and more find a second life at the Product Reuse Center, located in the WLSSD Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Facility. Shop each day the Household Hazardous Waste Facility is open.
The Product Reuse Center is open to residents age 18 or older. Residents can take a maximum of 5 items per day for free for personal use. Selection changes daily.
Using products up will reduce the amount of material that must be processed and disposed of as waste. Check the Product Reuse Center before buying a whole new gallon of paint for a small project and help reduce waste even more! Simply select your products and “check out” by completing a quick and easy form on the screen provided.
Enter to win a $25 Visa gift card. To participate, simply visit the Product Reuse Center, take home a product or two, create a masterpiece of any kind with those products and let us know with a photo of the results!
Participants may enter up to five times each contest period (May 1- October 31; November 1- April 30). Just fill out the Rewards of Reuse Entry Form and give it back to us with a photo of your project to post on our display board. Your name will be put in the drawing.
