27th Ave W. Bridge Lays Down, Eases Mind.
At last! The 27th Ave W. bridge over troubled* I-35 freeway is completed, and for the 105 employees of the WLSSD, trash haulers, and residential visitors to our public facilities with tear-swollen eyes: let that bridge dry them all. Our time has come to shine! All of our easy disposal dreams are on their way, see how they shine!
Oh if you need a friend, or to drop off leaves or fluorescent bulbs, we’re right here, where we’ve always been, and you no longer need to enter our facility solely from northbound I-35. Hop off I-35 from the southbound lane and cruise up the smoothest concrete span in town, or feel free to come right down 27th Ave W. and keep on going. It’s exhilarating! We’re saaaaailllllllliiiinnnnnngggg right behind.
Thanks MNDOT—we love the bridge.
*Note: I mean, not exactly “troubled” rather under construction for the much-anticipated Twin Ports Interchange project, but that would ruin the soundtrack we’ve got going here. DID YOU KNOW THEY PUT UP CAMERAS? Yah! Check out the time lapse Camera 2 for shots of the north and southbound lanes just off 27th.
