Garbage and recycling collection services within the WLSSD service area are governed by the WLSSD Solid Waste Ordinance. No person may collect or transport solid waste (including recyclable materials) without first being granted a license to do so. Each year, licensed haulers complete an annual report. Licenses are good for two years and renew in the spring of each even year. Commercial self-hauler licenses are required for businesses that transport their own waste.
