Access to Proper Disposal is no “Can of Worms”
In the Northland, some of us fondly joke about our two seasons—winter and road construction. It’s not typical to see road construction over the winter. However, MN Department of Transportation has plans for a large road construction project during the 2020-2021 winter and spring.
To prepare for the spring 2021 kick-off of the huge, multi-year Twin Ports Interchange (the “can of worms”) construction project, MN Department of Transportation will remove the I-35 overpass at 27th Avenue West in Duluth. To get to our facilities on Courtland Street, you will likely have to make a few extra turns, but rest assured, we plan to be open with our regular operating hours at all of our popular facilities during construction.
WLSSD Household Hazardous Waste Facility, open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
WLSSD Yard Waste Compost Site, open Thursdays through Mondays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. until we close for the season on November 16.
Detours will be clearly marked. Just follow the detour signs to find your way to us, and we will be here ready to help you!
