Detours Impact Access to WLSSD Facilities

UPDATED 5/30/2024

Continued work on Interstate 35 will be impacting access to WLSSD’s facilities at 27th Avenue West and the waterfront. We’re still here taking your waste and happy for the continued construction progress. Keep in mind, the detour dates listed below are dependent on weather.  If there are changes, we’ll provide updates here and via our Facebook page. These detours do not impact our Materials Recovery Center at Ridgeview Road.

***The on ramp from 27th Avenue west to I-35 northbound will be closed on June 3rd for approximately 30 days.***

If you are visiting our hazardous waste facility or yard waste compost site, picking up a waste-free event kit, or need to visit our administrative building during the dates listed above, please allow extra travel time and be careful of the extra construction traffic.
