Sewer Repair Project to Temporarily Close Lanes on Highway 61
ESKO, MN— One northbound lane and one southbound lane of Highway 61 near Esko have been closed to allow for the repair of a WLSSD sewer pipeline. The pipeline is located in the median of Highway 61 near Sorila Road. The lanes and adjacent road crossings will be closed throughout the repair project. The repair is expected to take two to five weeks.
“All wastewater is contained and we don’t expect an interruption in sewer service,” said Marianne Bohren, WLSSD executive director. “We have mobilized contractors to the site to get the repair done as quickly as possible.”
All travelers in the area are advised to use caution, slow down and obey signage in the construction area. No road closures are expected. Odor may be noticeable at times during the project.
