Resource Renew’s Yard Waste Compost Site will have gates open daily for Treecycling from December 21 through January 31. The Materials Recovery Center will also be accepting real holiday trees through January, but only on their regular business days, Wednesday-Saturday. We grind up the trees and integrate them into our large-scale composting operation. This allows us to beneficially reuse the nutrients and organic matter from the trees as compost; composting the trees also manages invasive species that may have traveled along with trees from outside our region. Please be sure to remove all decorations and lights. We cannot take flocked trees. Please see the full list of Treecycling sites below. Check this page each year in case locations change.
